In these enlisted fields they perform better than humans.Most modern deep learning models are based on artificial natural networks.QR code scanning is best example of deep learning. 

It uses different layers to effectively extract higher level features from raw input.

In 1986, Rina Dechter introduced a new term known as deep learning in Machine learning community.
